Fan Fiction - Casey & Zeke - Wild & Untamed (43/ ???)

Two days off! Saturday one day to work. Sunday off again. Monday and Tuesday tow days to work. And then: tow weeks vacation ... yeah ...

Though LJ will be really quiet during the next days, half of my F-list is in New York ... Hey all, have a lot of fun there!

And for the one or the other who is still around here - the next part Wild & Untamed. It's about time. Our Fandom is much to quiet lately too. Sometimes I'm worried that it's over too - and I would miss it a lot :( Sigh ...

Whatever. Have fun!

This story is written for romeny

Before you read this part - please notice the following: this is just fan-fiction. It's based on "The Faculty", but it's not really movie conform. I'm naughty enough to make necessary changings in the storyline ;)

Zeke glanced over to Debbee. She looked as uneasy as he felt.
"I don't know, Zeke," she murmured.
"I really don't know what to think about all this. But it's broadcasted on all channels for hours already. Something strange is going on in Herrington."

He shook his head unwillingly.
"What? Aliens are taking over Herrington High? This sounds like a bad April Fool's joke."

His attention was drawn back to the screen where the reporter had found a new interview partner. After Delilah and Stokely Mitchell it was nearly a shock to see him standing next to the reporter.

Deliah ... At first Zeke had been amused about the story she told. About this new schoolmate ... how did she call her? Marybeth. Marybeth Hutchinson. The way Delilah talked about her showed all too clearly that she hadn't liked her from the very beginning. No wonder, the girl in the shown picture looked all too cute. But Zeke had snorted surprised when Delilah added, that it turned out that Marybeth was ... an Alien. That she wanted to take over ... whatever this was supposed to mean ... the people on earth. Herrington High was just the beginning, a test.

"What a bullshit," Zeke had murmured.

"We needed a while to realize what was going on," Delilah had told.
"We ... I and Casey and a few others could escape from school. Marybeth was with us, we didn't know about her ... secret. But suddenly she started to change. She wanted ... she took control over me ... but Casey ..."

She kept quiet a moment, fighting for words. But finally she smiled again courageously into the camera.
"Casey saved me. He saved all of us ... He was always the geek in school. No one has really liked him. But this day ... he was so bold. I guess, he has done all this just for me. I know he likes me a lot ... "

Zeke had shaken his head, chuckling slightly. So typical Delilah. She always took it for granted, that everything centered just around her. But he knew better. Casey had never been interested in stupid, bitching girls.

Stokely was the next. Zeke had always liked her. Stokes was ... Stokes. She never tried to follow the crowd. With her love for black clothes and the SciFi stories she devoured in every spare minute, she was nearly a geek like Casey. But no one would dare to fuck around with her too much - she had a sharp tongue and she knew how to defend herself.

She looked calm and surprisingly open, when she talked to the reporter.
"Casey was the first who noticed that something was going on," she told him.
"But of course no one believed him. Until it was too late. She had already infected half of the school ... and I knew, we had to stop her. Or it could be stopped never again. First Herrington ... then Ohio ... America ... finally the whole world.

You can't blame her for it. It's her nature. She was just fighting to survive. And if Casey hadn't been around ... if he hadn't stopped her ... the world we know would not exist any longer!"

"God, Stokes, what the hell are you talking about," Zeke had snorted full of disbelief.
And he didn't know what disturbed him more: all this stupid gossip about Aliens or Casey as the knight in shining armor. What was going on in Herrington, that people suddenly saw him like this?

But it was the next interviewee, who let him swallow hard. Professor Furlong was the last he had expected to see here. Del or Stokes, yeah. Del was a stupid bitch, she would do everything to get a bit attention by the media. And Stokes was a geek, she believed in UFO's, alien life forms and shit like this. Probably she truly believed this story too.

But Mr. Furlong was different. He was a serious scientist, a good prof, respected from everyone - teachers and students - at Herrington High. He would never have lend himself for such a stupid joke.

"Professor Furlong," said the reporter.
"We've heard you got hurt during the incident! Andrew Carter, right? The student council president. And he has cut off your fingers? What has happened?"

Oh God! Zeke took a deep breath when the camera switched over to the bandaged hand of the teacher. No joke! This was real, fucking real.

Mr. Furlong hesitated for a moment.
"Yes. Yes, this is right, Andrew hurt me. But ... it was not his fault. I was a danger for everyone and he only defended himself!"

"You was a danger?"

"Yes, I think so! It's hard to explain. It was not me ... it was ... the alien inside me. I knew, I did wrong, but I couldn't control it. Andrew has done right. The only way to stop me was to kill me!"

Zeke huffed annoyed and tried to keep a clear head. This was too much! He felt caught in an nightmare he couldn't escape from. Even the reporter on the screen was obviously fighting for words.

"You mean, he knocked you out," he finally asked tentatively.

Although his words said something else, Mr. Furlong looked quite normal.
"No! He sort of killed me. Or maybe better to say: he killed the alien inside me. And it was supposed to be my death too! If not ..."

"Jesus," Debbee whispered.
"Everyone in Herrington High seems to have gone crazy. As if they are on drugs!"

Zeke's head jerked round.
"Drugs?! Oh fuck! This stupid idiot!"

Debbee frowned.
"What do you mean?"

"Andy! Andrew Carter. Always playing the nice boy, but he is a fucking prick. When I left Herrington, I sold him all my lab stuff. And the secret about the Scat. He told me, with a few little changes he would make a shitload more money with it than me.

I didn't take it serious, but ... oh shit! What the hell has he done?"

Debbee kept quiet for a moment, obviously thinking about it. Finally she shook her head.
"This doesn't make sense, Zeke!"

Zeke snorted and pointed to the TV where the interview was going on. He didn't listen any longer. He didn't need to know more.
"So? You've heard all this shit, Debs! Does this make sense for you? Aliens? Oh no, Debs, these are all fucking abnormal hallucinations. Caused by drugs. My drugs, Debs. My Scat!"

"Calm down, Zeke," Debbee says.
"Think again! Is Mr. Furlong using drugs?"

Zeke blinked confused.
"No, of course not!"

"Have you ever sold Scat to Stokes or Delilah?"

"Del? Del and drugs? Never! She's a health nuts. And Stokes? Stokes is much too clever for it!"

"See! And why should they all have started to take Andrew's drugs out of the blue?"

Zeke sighed deeply. This did sound sense. None of them would ever use drugs just for fun. But ... what then?

"Do you believe in Aliens, Debs," he asked.

She shrugged.
"I don't know," she admitted.
"I've never thought about it before. But this story is much too big to be just a figment of imagination. And ... Oh!"

Zeke followed her gaze back to the TV screen. The picture let him smile for a second. It was the well known image of a little geek, with his checkered shirt, the tousled hair, the slight smile. But there was something strange in his eyes, he had never noticed before. Zeke swallowed.

"Hey, baby blue," he whispered.
"What the hell is happened to you?"

Wow, another intriguing chapter, I just can't figure out where you're going with this but I like the twist you've given on the invasion an it taking place without Zeke. But Hey, what's up with that? (scratching head)

In a way it's fun to write this - sooo much questions and no answers. I will try to put up more soon.

Oh, I love the way the invasion took place without Zeke; very interesting! But what happened to Casey that Zeke would notice the difference on TV? This scares me...

I'm worried about how slow everything is right now too. *hugs*

Yes, what happened to poor Casey? And will Zeke go and look after him? We will see ... soon, I hope.

I have a spare second at my friend's to check my emails and stuff, so I skimmed my f/list and of course, had to read this.

That last line just slayed me. The boy's in love and seeing that face again made a difference. I know it did. Go home boy!

Can't wait for more xxx

He should go home and look after Casey, right? But who knows ;)

Thanks for reading and commenting, as ever.

Wow, it's like there's been a disruption in the space time continuum! So this Andrew is the scat king and *gulp* Casey's partner in heroism? OMG! I hope he didn't crawl under the bus with him cos that would be just disloyal :-) Seriously, it's good to see you having such fun and being so creative with the story. I'm very curious about how it will all come out!

Oh dear, a twisty-wisty! Zeke missed out, this time! I'd thought the alien takeover had already come about, but nope... missed some details, I did! I wonder if this gets Zeke home, for answers...
