Fan Fiction - Casey & Zeke - Wild & Untamed ( 30 / ???)

Hello F-List.

It's still much too hot around here. But at least I'm feeling a bit better. So, as promised, the next part of Wild & Untamed - it's a short one this time ... but don't worry, the next is nearly ready too.

Part 30 today ... wow ... and this story was meant as a  little birthday present for romeny when I started to write it months ago. And there is still a bit more to tell before it will come to an end ;)

This story is written for romeny

It was two weeks later when Casey dropped down onto the old couch in the garage and sighed deeply. Zeke looked at him half grinning.
"So, shitty day, huh?"

Casey shrugged.
"Willis is a prick!"

"Tell me about it!"

"My Mom is sure, I want to learn boxing!"

Zeke frowned, feeling a bit confused now.

Casey finally opened his eyes and stared at Zeke.
"I've told her! About Debbee. And a bit ... about you!"

Zeke stiffened and narrowed his eyes.
"Wait a minute. What the hell have you done?"

Casey was not surprised that his mom was already awaiting him in front of the house. She looked nervous and puzzled. Casey sighed. She would demand further explanations ... and he was definitely not in the mood to talk.

"Casey, what's happened? Your school called me two hours ago. You was put in detention because you got into a fight and hurt another boy?"

Casey grunted.
"I did a shit. Frickin' Gabe!"

His mother frowned.
"Casey! What's wrong with you? Watch your tongue!"

"Sorry, mom!"

"Come on in and talk to me. What is all this about?"

Okay, showtime! Casey sighed and followed her into the kitchen. He already knew how their talk would go. It was always the same.

"The same old story. I was in the lockerroom after lunch, when Gabe came around too. With two of his best buddies. It was nothing serious, they laughed at me and ... you know ... But then ... Gabe spotted my camera in the locker."

Casey could see his mother swallowing hard.
"Oh," she murmured.

"Yeah! He wanted to grab it, and I ... I tried to shut the door ... I nearly caught two of his fingers. Nothing happened, mom, really! But he yelled like hell and Rafe grabbed me by the collar and ... finally Coach Willis burst in!"

His mother sighed.
"This awful boys! I don't want to image at all what they would have done to you without Mr. Willis around."

Casey made a grimace.
"Willis! Yeah, he was a great help. Do you want to know what he did? He took Gabe to the nurse ... and me to the principal's office. He didn't even ask what has happened! Gabe is the star of his football team. He will backing him all the way, no matter what he does!"

"Oh Casey! I'm so sorry. This school ... You should really think about changing it. There are art courses in every Highschool!"

Casey rolled his eyes. This again! Of course, he knew, his mother just wanted to help. But she couldn't understand. Mr. Brown was the best art prof around. Get an A in his course, maybe even a recommendation in your application and every art school you want was open to you.

And lately, more than anything else: Zeke. Even if they couldn't be friends at school - Casey didn't want to imagine physic or math without Zeke sitting only a few rows in front of him. The moments in the hall when there eyes crossed. The secret looks he dared during gym. It was not much but didn't want to lose this.

"It wouldn't change anything, mom," he murmured.
"Other school, other jocks. I will be the geek at every school! Unless ... "

His mother looked at him sorrowful.
"Casey, it's not your fault! You are a good boy, honest and caring and ..."

"Oh please, mom, stop it!"
Casey sighed.
"I'm afraid, I'm way too good for this world. It's about time for me to finally stand up!"

She kept quiet for a moment.
"To stand up? And you want to do what? Learn to box?"

His mother turned pale. Casey smirked.
"No, of course not! More like ... self-defense, you know."

"But... Casey... You can't ... these boys are so much bigger and stronger than you. They won't put up with this!"

Casey shrugged.
"They don't need a reason to beat me up, mom! But ... it might be a chance, you know. I'm so sick of feeling so helpless ... I just don't want to run away any longer!"
