Title: Love kills slowly Part 1/5
Fandom: Casey / Zeke
Rating:  G
Disclaimer: of course, not mine

Casey sat shaking on the bleachers. At lunch he often came here to avoid Gabe and his friends. But that he already fled here before school, was unusual.

But he had to calm down. He couldn't believe that he had done it. Since he had recently seen these bracelet by Ed Hardy he couldn't get rid of it any more.

It was a wide leather bracelet, printed in tattoo style, with a skull, a heart and the inscription "Love kills slowly". He had seen it and had known immediately that it looked like it was made for Zeke.

Zeke Tyler, the King of Herrington High. Everyone admired him, everyone respected him - and Casey crushed for him. Of course, it was hopeless - Zeke had no eye for him, not even for a moment. But the idea to buy this bracelet for his birthday was too temptingly. Of course only anonymous. He would never know who had given him this one. But he, Casey, would know ...

Today he had come to school earlier than usual to bring his present secretly into the locker room. The first one that struck his eyes, was the red rose in front of Zeke's locker. There were two other cards and a little package, too. Casey swallowed. It was obvious, he was not the only one who knew about Zeke's birthday. He would get a lot of presents and cards and he didn't need this stupid bracelet. It had been just one of his weird ideas ...

However, before he could make a decision, it happened.

"What are you doing here at this time, Connor?"

He whipped round and stared directly into Zeke's eyes. He stood in the door frame of the locker room and looked at him with narrowed eyes.

"I ....I don't .... nothing at all!"

Casey sprinted out of the room and fled onto the bleachers. His whole body was shaking. What had Zeke seen? This question didn't let go him. His gift in front of his locker - best he would have took it back. But it was all too likely that he would run into Zeke again ...

Ordinarily it wasn't difficult for Casey to follow the lessons at school, no matter what had happened before. But today he could barely concentrate. His thoughts were at the last lesson of this week - physic - the only lesson which he had together with Zeke today.

As usual he was nearly too late, as ever he had no eye for Casey. Instead of this he flirted with some girls who swarmed around him, as usual. Stupid, pushy bitches - but today Casey was glad about them, because they destructed Zeke's attention of him and gave him the feeling that everything was quite normal.

This changed after the lesson. Casey always tried to leave the classroom as late as possible. He knew that the others were looking eagerly for their weekend. They didn't want to waste any thought on Casey - so friday afternoon was mostly a good start in an bullied-free weekend.

"Hey, Connor!"

He stiffened when he heard Zeke's voice directly behind him. He hadn't noticed that he also stayed here in the classroom.

"What .... what do you want?"

Zeke looked at him with sparkling eyes.
"Are you crushing, Connor?"

Casey took a deep breath. Oh God...
"I don't know what you're talking about, " he murmured and tried to slip out of the door. But Zeke blocked his way. "Are you crazy, Zeke?"

"What's this, eh?"
Zeke stretched out his left arm. Casey could only stare at him. He wore the bracelet! He really wore it! And whether it meant something or not, it looked damn good. It fitted to Zeke.
"It's cool, Casey! I've never got a present from a guy before!"

Slowly Casey was able to think a bit clearer. Zeke knew it! He knew everything!

" I ... I ... I don't ..., " he stammered. But he knew, he could say whatever he want, Zeke would never believe it. It was all too obvious ...

"Wanna come over tomorrow?"

"I'm inviting you to my birthday!"

Casey looked at him bewildered. It was a dream! An awful, but wonderful dream!

Zeke chuckled.
"You are so incredibly sweet! You coming?"

Casey tried to arrange his mind. Zeke Tyler invited him to his birthday? Zeke Tyler thought that he was ... sweet? He didn't know what to think of this. It was so unreal. He shrugged.

" I don't know, " he murmured.
" I ... I don't like parties so much!"

"Who talks about party? Just you and me Case! Sounds good?"

He winked mischievously. And Casey felt tears burning in his eyes. Admittedly the bracelet had been a stupid idea! The whole feelings he invested in Zeke were a stupid idea! He was just an ice cold prick who loved it to play around with the feelings of others. And now he wanted to have fun with Casey.

"You are such an arsehole!"

This time Zeke let him go out of the classroom, but he shouted after him.
"I'm serious, Casey! Tomorrow, five o'clock! I'm waiting for you!"
TBC ... go to Part two
