FanFiction - Jeremiah // Black&white photographies

Hello, good morning, how are you? Vacation is over for me, soon enough I need to go to work again. And I'm sooo not in the mood for it. It seems as if I get a cold or something, nothing serious so far, only slight coughing since some days combined with shivers and heatwaves. :( Well, I guess, I will survive.

Let's start the day with a

re-post of a double-drabble I've written for comment_fic yesterday. I really love it when someone gives me a reason to write about Mr. Smith.

Title: Black&white photographies
Fandom: Jeremiah (TV)
Character: Mr. Smith
Rating: PG
Word Count: 200
Disclaimer: Of course, I don't own Jeremiah nor the character :( - I'm just borrowing them for a while

With trembling hands Smith put the old camera back onto the table. When he had found it this morning in the ruins, he hadn't expected that it would still work. He had taken it with him anyway.

It was a part of the old world, a happy and colourful one. The Big Death had changed everything, the adults were dead, the children were fighting a desperate battle for survival. And he ... he was God's messenger.

He should have known better. When God lead him to the camera there had to be a reason for it. He sighed and grabbed for the pictures. The halls in the mountain were almost empty, it was late in the evening. But Marcus would still be in his office.

The leader of Thunder Mountain took his duty seriously, he was responsible for almost 200 people who were living in the Mountain and on the farms nearby. Smith knew, his news could bring death and destruction for a lot of them.

He could only hope that Marcus this time would trust his words. For him, the pictures wouldn't be more than just blurred, black and white shadows. But God had shown Smith the truth behind.

Thanks :) Yes, it's a lot God demands from Smith and I can understand that Marcus (and others) have some problems with his mysterious prophecies. But they need to realize that it is better to listen to him, even if not all he says seems to make sense at first.

Stupid cold, at least, I hope that it is only a cold, not something with my asthma, that always makes me feel a bit anxious (especially after one of my co-worker died during an asthmatic attack - okay her asthma was much worse than mine is and it's ages ago, but disturbing anyway to think that something like this can happen)
